One of the world’s most important virtuosos in his field will come to Alex Theatre in Glendale in March as part of Ara Malikian – The World Tour. The violinist Ara Malikian, a native Lebanese with Armenian roots who has been living in Spain for over 15 years, is one of the world’s most important virtuosos in his field. His musical interests range from the Middle East and the traditional Arabic/Jewish sounds to those of Eastern Europe – styles such as Klezmer and Gypsi – the Argentine tango to Spanish flamenco.
Opening the evening will be by StArt Ensemble featuring fusion of Argentinean and Armenian music.
