It’s Good To Be Back

Celebrate the Alex Theatre’s 96th birthday, reopening, and launch of the 2021/2022 season.

Admission is FREE and open for all ages.
RSVP is not required, but appreciated.

The Alex Theatre’s 96th birthday marks an historic moment and presents an opportunity to reconnect with your community, embrace the arts, and celebrate not just the Alex, but our collective efforts in overcoming the hardships of the last year and a half.

Reconnect with the Community
Be among the first to walk through the Alex Theatre’s doors and take a self-guided tour of the pristinely maintained venue. After being closed for 18 months due to COVID mandates, it’ll be so good to welcome you back!

Embrace the Arts
Stop by to learn more about the 2021/2022 season, including performances on sale and a behind the scenes conversation about the performances ahead. The first 96 people who visit the Box Office table will receive a ticket voucher for an upcoming performance.

Access Historic Preservation
Preserving the historic venue is a part of our DNA as is the showcasing of classic films and shorts. Join us for the screening of two Cinecon Classic Film Festival selections –

Ice Cold Cocos at 12:05pm

Buster’s Mix Up at 3:43pm

Envision the Future
While COVID-19 has dealt quite a heavy blow, you’ll be surprised at how busy we’ve been, what we’ve accomplished, and what we have planned for the coming year.

Glendale Arts is dedicated to the health and safety of our staff, patrons, artists, and community. To make sure we are doing our part to stop the spread of COVID-19 with the heightened transmission of the delta variant, we will be requiring proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken 48 hours prior to the event date. Please bring card or proof with you to event. We will also follow all current CDC, State of California, Los Angeles County, and City of Glendale mask mandates requiring them to be worn at all times while on the Alex Theatre premises.

We look forward to seeing you and remaining safe together! RSVP today!
