In light of the devastating spread and impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and in compliance with the current State of California and the County of Los Angeles Stay at Home policies:

The performance of Morissette and Sam Conception, originally scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 9, 2020, has been cancelled. Presently, Mega 8 Production has plans to reschedule the performance at a later date.

We are in communication with the presenters of these shows regarding rescheduling, and patrons who have purchased tickets for the events affected by the cancellations have been contacted regarding refunds and related details.

The Glendale Arts and Alex Theatre staff wish you health and safety throughout this time and look forward to seeing you back at the Alex when it is appropriate for us to reopen our doors.

MEGA 8 PRODUCTION presents Morissette and Sam Conception in concert.

Filipina artist Johanne Morissette D Amon – Morissette – was born and raised in Cebu City. At age 14 she became part of TV5’s ‘Star Factor’ and made her Broadway debut in the Repertory Philippines’ production of Disney’s Camp Rock. Morissette competed on the first season of ABS-CBN’s ‘The Voice Philippines’ where she became part of singer Sarah Geronimo’s team. In January 2014 Morissette began recurring appearances on ABS-CBN’s ‘ASAP’ and became popularized as the ‘Phoenix of the Philippines’; the rest is history. On January 23, 2020, Morissette brought home the ‘Female Concert Performer of the Year’ award given by the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) 11th Star Award for Music.

Samuel Lawrence Lopez Concepcion – Sam Concepcion – a Filipino Singer, Dancer, Host and Actor, has won numerous singing contests and has a contract under STAGE and ABS-CBN’s Star Magic. Honors include being a representative to the Korea World Travel Fair, being chosen to sing in front of the Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, and receiving the UNAP ‘Outstanding Youth Leader’ award. Sam currently appears on the TV series ‘The Killer Bride.’
