Singer Tricia Tahara-Stoller hosts a memorial tribute concert honoring Jerry Leiber– lyricist of the renowned songwriting team of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, whose hits range from “Hound Dog,” “Kansas City,” and “Love Potion No. 9” to “Stand By Me” and “Is That All There Is?” This celebration of Leiber’s art and life presents his rock & roll and rhythm & blues standards side-by-side with his lesser-known works in performances by old friends and surprise guests—including T.C. Carson (Living Single ), songwriter Artie Butler, jazz great Corky Hale, and a special appearance by the legendary Mike Stoller himself. Featuring some of the brightest rising stars from USC’s Popular Music Program (“the cutting-edge department that’s become the site of Los Angeles’ most productive new music scenes” – Rolling Stone ).
