Vinyl Covers Launch
Benefiting City of Hope, The Music Path & Glendale Arts

  • This event has passed.

The producers of the Vinyl Covers Album Launch benefiting the City of Hope, The Music Path and Glendale Arts have decided to postpone the 11/16/18 concert.

The recent Woolsey fires affected many of the artists and production personnel associated with the event and the producers felt that we couldn’t impose on their time or talent during this difficult period. We will notify you when the event has been rescheduled. If you purchased tickets, the Alex Theatre Box Office staff will either automatically issue a refund or contact you to process the refund.

If you would still like to support the Vinyl Covers project, our non-profit partners at Glendale Arts have set up a donation link to the project. Simply click on the link, select Vinyl Covers and your contribution will be credited to the project.

If you have any questions about this event or the Vinyl Covers project please email us at info@glendalearts.org

Thank you.

Vinyl Covers recording project features an amazing list of emerging artists donating their contemporary renditions of classic songs as well as established artists contributing their favorite tracks from the pre-digital era of recorded music and comedy.

L.A. radio legend and comedic actor/writer Brian Phelps (Mark & Brian Show-KLOS) will be the evening’s host and is joined by several sport, entertainment industry and City of Hope ‘miracle workers’ for an evening of music, comedy, visual arts and more, all united for the sole purpose of defeating all types of cancer.

Talent includes Dig the Kid, Shayna Adler, Chris Warner (ex-jet west), Neil Turbin (former Anthrax Lead Vocalist), Hobie Givens, Tunnel Vision, The Raskins, Old James, Sheppards Kingdom, Jimmy Hall (Wet Willie/Jeff Beck group), Jimmy Z, Dwight Twilley (pop rocker/writer), Desi & Cody, guitar legend Danny Johnson (Steppenwolf, Derringer); they will lead a “Born to Wild” all star jam to celebrate the song’s nomination to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as in the newly created “Most Influential Rock Song” category, with The Expendables (Silverback Mgt), Kaleo Wassman (Pepper) and others stepping up to the plate as their busy schedules allow.

DON’T MISS YOUR SHOT TO MEET THE ARTISTS & BENEFACTORS – Be one of the lucky few to get a chance to meet all the artists pre-show & backstage at the historic Alex Theatre (7:00PM).  Tickets for this rare opportunity are $125.00 and will be available on a first come, first served basis.
