Visiting the Alex Theatre

ADA Seating

The Alex Theatre has ADA Accessible Seating available in Row X of the Orchestra. All other seating areas require a minimum of eight stairs to access. If you require ADA accessible seating, notify the Ticket Agent at the beginning of the transaction or, if purchasing online, select from the ADA Accessible section and indicate the type of seating you require for each ADA Accessible seat.

Assistive Services

Wheelchair access and infrared Assistive Listening Devices for the hearing impaired are available upon request. Please contact the Box Office at 818-243-7700 x216 or boxoffice@alextheatre.org at least 24 hours in advance to request these services.

Baby Changing Tables

Baby changing tables are available in the ladies’ restrooms in the Orchestra and Terrace level lobbies.

Child Admission

All children are required to have a ticket and separate seat with the exception of children two years old and younger who will be sitting on an adult’s lap.

As a courtesy to fellow audience members and the performers, please use discretion regarding your child’s ability to remain seated and quiet during a performance.

Concessions

Beverages purchased from the Theatre’s Concessions stand located in the outdoor forecourt may be consumed in the forecourt only. Concessions items can be purchased using cash or credit or debit cards.

Disruptive Patrons

Patrons who display disruptive or inappropriate behavior will be asked to leave the Theatre. No refunds will be issued.

Doors

The Theatre’s forecourt gates typically open one hour prior to the start time of a performance. The lobby doors open half an hour prior to the start time of a performance. Please check individual performance listings for specific information.

Emergency Contact

To contact patrons or Theatre staff during performances, please call the House Manager’s office at 818-243-7700 x218.

Food and Drinks

Only food and drinks purchased from an Alex Theatre concessions stand are allowed in the auditorium. See Concessions above for information about food and drink sales at the Theatre.

Late Arrivals

As a courtesy to the performers and other audience members, patrons who are not seated when the performance begins will be asked to watch the monitors in the lobby until an appropriate break in the program. When possible, latecomers may be seated by the House Manager in available seats at the back of the auditorium.

For your convenience, a chime reminder will sound 10 minutes and five minutes before the auditorium doors are closed.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found articles will be held in the House Manager’s office until the end of the performance. After that time, please contact the House Manager at 818-243-7700 x218 or housemanager@alextheatre.org. Articles left at the Theatre for more than 30 days will be donated to charity.

Lost Tickets

Please safeguard your tickets. Lost tickets cannot be replaced.

Parking Validation

Validation for the Orange Street Parking Garage, Exchange Parking Garage, and Glendale Marketplace Garage is available in the Orchestra level lobby.

Parking costs $1.00 for four hours with validation (rates are subject to change).

Photo and Video Recording

Individual rental groups determine the photo and video recording policy for their performances. Please check specific performance listings for the corresponding photo and video recording policy.

Program Changes and Cancellations

Programs and artists are subject to change without notice.

Refunds will be granted for cancelled or postponed events, and any credit will be the full price of the returned ticket(s) minus any convenience and/or handling fees that were applied to the purchase.

Restrooms

Restrooms are located in the Theatre’s Orchestra and Terrace level lobbies.

Smoking

The Alex Theatre is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is prohibited in the Theatre, forecourt, Box Office, and adjoining areas and ways.

Standing Policy

Due to fire code regulations, standing on entry landings into the Theatre, aisles or the back of the auditorium is prohibited.
